How to use

  1. The display case template is already loaded, with readings, case and refrigeration sections. Remove items that do not apply to remote or self-contained cases.

About this display case checklist

Use it for grocery and deli display case maintenance, open multi-deck cases and glass door merchandisers. Record discharge and return air, product temperature, superheat and defrost settings, then check the air curtain, coils, fans and drains.

What should I record on a display case visit?

Discharge and return air temperature, product temperature, the controller setpoint, defrost settings, and suction pressure and superheat where you can measure them.

Why does a case run warm after it is restocked?

Product stacked above the load line or blocking the return air grille breaks the air curtain. Keep product below the load line and grilles clear.

Does it work for remote and self-contained cases?

Yes. Self-contained cases have their own condensing unit, so keep the condenser and compressor items. For remote cases on a rack, remove those items.
